there's so much superstition that accompanies this festival. i don't believe in them (if i did i would have like...violated almost all of them today), but it's still kinda interesting to read. here is some information if you're interested.

i didn't even know that chinese new year really lasts for 15 days! all these things i never knew! and i call myself chinese...aiyah. woe is me. :)
