whatever happened to my lunchbox?

my internship is starting to wind down. i have about a month to go before it's finished - so close, yet so far. i have mixed feelings about this. on one hand i'm excited - excited to be done, excited to move on, excited to get a job and finally start making some moolas. on the other hand, i'm fully aware that once my internship is over i'll really be in the real world, doing the music therapy thing, and working without the security net of being in school or being just a music therapy intern. i'll miss my security nets, oh yes i will.

confessions of a swollen-eyed girl

ok, i confess: i'm one of those people who itch their eyes when they're itchy. i know i'm not supposed to do this, and i try my best not to (i really do!) but sometimes i just can't help it. :(

...NEVER again.

so yesterday, when i was at work, my eyes started to get itchy. i tried to ignore it, blink hard, or do something other than scratch, but sooner or later my finger found its way to my eye and began doing its thing. at first things were ok...then things got bad. really bad. it kinda went like this:



lovely, no? anyway, it's been almost a day since this happened but for some reason my eyes are still puffy (aghhhh). wierd thing is, i've never looked more asian in my life. the puffiness made my double eye-lid fold thing disappear, shrunk the size of my eyes, and now i look like cristina yang.

lesson learned. don't rub your eyes.

sidenote: today i went to work with puffy eyes, but oddly enough, the only person to comment on the puffiness was the only other chinese girl working there. it's like the others didn't even realize they were puffy at all...haha. :P

oh well, hopefully the swelling with disappear by tonight. i'm watching shrek 3 with the girls... ;)

mac on the brain

lately i've had my eye on getting one of these babies. i don't really need one per se, but i'm a total sucker for all the ads and marketing apple does. :P (and well, let's face it, macs are just so much easier on that eyes than pcs.) so with all that being said, i want one. haha. actually, i was debating whether or not to get a macbook or an imac, but after thinking about it for a while, i'd probably shell out the bit of extra money and get the macbook. i'd miss the portability factor too much i think.

oh well, if i do end up getting one it probably won't be for a while (i heard something about leopard coming out in october, and it looks pretty awesome) so my laptop now, despite the fact that it is getting a little too slow and laggy at times (it's turning 4 years old this year! it's almost ready to go to kindergarten!), will have to do...for now. ;)

anyway, before i go, here's a video that i thought was kinda funny in a really geeky way. :P

oh procrastinator me

so i have a little "accompanying gig" tomorrow. my ex-supervisor's husband is having an end-of-year concert for his students and they asked me if i could help them out, and i said yes. this means i will leave work early and go accompany to make a little extra money. yay! soooo, he gave me the music probably almost a month ago and, until just recently, it stayed right where i left it - on a spot on my bedroom floor. heh. i actually kinda forgot about it until i stepped on the pile of music and unearthed it from beneath a pile of clothes. ooops.

anyway, i finally came to my senses and realized the concert was THIS saturday on wednesday, so i got out the music and played through the pieces. most of it is ok, but one or two of the songs are a little harder than i expected. o_O oh goodness. i wish i had another day, but i don't. *sigh* we'll have to see how things go.

oh procrastinator me...once a slacker, always a slacker. :P

what the crap. what happened to april?! :o
only two months left of my internship to go! the countdown starts now.
time is passing by so slowly but so fast at the same time. it makes me feel...confused. :P
